Creative Scraps Altered Art

Creative Scraps used to be filled with digital scrapbook creations and tutorials, but I changed gears in early 2008 by switching to… yes you guessed it… real paper! {insert loud gasp from crowd} It’s not as easy as it seems, going from my friendly mouse to an unfriendly pair of scissors was a huge jump in faith and patience. It’s so much easier using a crosshair pointer and the status bar to detect my exact starting point for a cut than I can do with a ruler, pencil and a dull pair of scissors. Well yes, I learned very quickly you have to have a great pair of scissors. And even then, you aren’t guaranteed a straight line. Lines almost have a life of their own… I can measure it, mark the correct spot, cut it and wouldn’t you know that sometimes it comes out straight!
